  3. primary   goal  was  the  production  of  fine  books.   The
  4. insidious monks have crept out of the dark  cells  of  their
  5. monestaries  and  are among us once more, dictating what may
  6. and may not be  read.   The  criteria  for  their  selective
  7. processes  is  no  longer the morality (or lack of it) to be
  8. found in a piece of literature.  The  primary  criteria  for
  9. selection is WILL IT SELL ...  BIG ?  The monks have found a
  10. new  religion.  Its god is not represented by the cross, but
  11. by the $.  They are THE  BEAN-COUNTERS  !   The  MBAs.   The
  12. Corporate Accountants.
